It’s a concise and powerful word. Easy is simple, easy is effortless. Easy takes me to a place where I can free up valuable time to focus on other things, perhaps things that matter more. Or perhaps things that are more complex. I can get the fundamentals out of the way, and get to the meaty, challenging bits.
I think we all strive to find new additions to our personal routines that make things easier for us. Having Google Shopping Express deliver me 30 rolls of toilet paper (!) from Costco in under 4 hours and 4 clicks — seriously easy, and life changing to my routine.
Work is no different.
As I now sit here starting a company, my co-founder and I are stretched thin. We need to be doing a million different things, and I’ve been so thankful to have turnkey tools at my disposal to make things easier. Tools that streamline, tools that summarize and analyze. Tools to give me back time to help build my business, tackle the important issues, and focus on my customers.
When it comes to customer listening, however, tools tend to either be more heavyweight, or involve more manual work to arrive at the needed outcomes.
